The Knight in Clash Royale is a common, low-cost (3 Elixir) melee ground troop unlocked early in the game during the Training Camp. He is a versatile and reliable card with moderate hitpoints and consistent single-target damage, making him a strong defensive unit to counter many low to medium hitpoint enemy troops like skeletons, goblins, and archers. The Knight's role is to absorb damage as a mini-tank, enabling counter-pushes and protecting win condition units such as Hog Rider or Miner.
