Use when measuring diagonally to make sure what you are building is square.  Typically requires a second person to hold the tape measure on a pointed corner, or you swearing when it falls off by yourself.  This is light weight enough that you can magnetically attach it to your tape measure and extend it out to your corner and leave it attached when switching corners.  The best part is it rotates to accommodate varying angles.

 

Uses quantity two of 8mm x 2mm magnet
