Description

Anyone who shoots film and shoots enough of it to buy rolls in bulk has likely come across the issue where they don't have the individual film roll boxes with their rolls and therefore doesn't have the end of the box to tear off as a film identification tag.

I have run across this issue as I commonly have multiple cameras loaded with different films and I buy my film in bulk.

So, I needed a solution to this and decided to design my own 37mm x 37mm film tags to print on card stock using Adobe Illustrator. This allows me to get 35 tags per Letter sized card stock and then cut them into strips of 5 each. I did this for the four common film stocks that I have in bulk and then added in a generic tag design that I could fill out when needed.

This led to the problem of how to store and organize these strips of film tags so they weren't just shoved into a drawer and they were easy to get to at the same time to cut off a new one when needed.

I designed these holders and a storage case for them that can sit on my workbench for safe storage and easy access.

If anyone wants the generic tag design, let me know and I can upload the Illustrator file  (or maybe a PDF that is easily printable).
