Description
Today’s print gets festive! This Christmas tree ornament consists of three parts: the elliptical spiral-patterned ball, a decorative ring, and a clip that holds everything together and lets you hang it easily on your tree.
The ball is printed in vase mode, which gives it a clean, seamless look with minimal material use. I recommend using a high extrusion width to help the first layers adhere better and turning off the bottom layers so the ornament remains open at the bottom — allowing you to insert the clip later. The ring and clip can be printed normally.
It’s a quick, elegant print that captures the spirit of the season — light, simple, and satisfying. Another creative step in my Everydays Challenge: designing, modeling, and printing something new every day to learn, improve, and have fun with 3D design.
