Qidi Plus 4 Side Spool Mount With PTFE Guide

This is a relatively simple design for, in my opinion, a nicer looking spool holder than what comes with the printer. It does require a bit of assembly and explanation but don't worry I will provide instruction and images if you get lost.

First things first, you will need 608RS ball bearings, you can buy them anywhere, i got mine on amazon, ill include it in the bill of materials. You will also need PTFE tubing roughly 22 cm. If you don't have one that long you can either cut it to size or print a coupler (there are many options for couplers on makerworld) and link some together.

1. Print the parts either using the .3mf or download the stl’s and do what you like.

2. Remove the screws holding in the left lifting handle, you can leave the handle in there.

3. Push the ball bearings onto either side of the roller.

4. Glue the holder and bracket together and fit the holder into the slot on the bracket with the peg.

5. Take a soldering iron and melt the holder and bracket together at the seams, you can melt the inside part of the holder too, it wont affect the roller.

6. Push the roller assembly into place inside the holder.

7. Push the 22 cm PTFE tube into place on the printer.

8. Set full bracket assembly into slots on the printer.

9. Put the screws back into the holes and tighten them.

10. Feed the PTFE tube through the hole on the bracket.

11. Now you are all done and can load filament!

Hopefully this holder is good for anyone that needs it. Feel free to comment, ask questions, and give feedback.
