Description
Most poop buckets available for the Bambu Lab H2D rely on either a slide-in mechanism or magnetic attachment.
However, slide-in designs often cause waste to accumulate unevenly, making them inefficient,
and magnetic systems require extra hardware, which I personally prefer to avoid.
To address these issues, I analyzed the structure of the H2D in detail and designed
a bucket system that attaches directly to the rear of the H2D without magnets,
while maintaining excellent stability.
A dedicated guide structure locks the bucket directly onto the rear of the H2D.
This provides strong mechanical retention without wobbling during operation.
The guide installed on the poop chute is separated into two pieces for strength and printing convenience, and it is recommended to assemble them using adhesive.
The provided profile includes:
You can easily swap buckets depending on capacity needs.
A side window allows you to quickly see how full the bucket is.
You don’t need to remove it to check waste levels.
The H2D has a ventilation opening below the poop chute.
To prevent the bucket from blocking it,
the bucket is designed with bottom rails that create sufficient air space,
ensuring proper airflow.
The outer surface includes a recessed Bambu Lab logo,
intended to stand out even with single-color printing—
especially when using fuzzy-skin.
(Though it’s mounted on the back and you won’t see it often 🤭)
All parts are optimized for FDM and can be printed without supports.
Boost MeYour boost helps me spend more time creating better designs. This design provides a simple, effective solution to H2D waste handling,
and makes capacity upgrades or custom buckets easy.
The shape of the guide has been changed to increase strength.
1. The top of the bucket wall was raised because there was a suggestion that poop could jump out of the bucket.
2. One of the slits on either side of the bucket was removed due to concerns that poop could get caught in the slit.
However, I conducted several tests to ensure the slit did not cause any problems. (These tests led to the appropriate slit size adjustment.)
