Speed Gearbox 030 DC Motor 1:11|1:8

This gearbox takes a different approach to allow for higher speeds. Pinhole spacing has been adjusted so that the crown gear can drive the shaft gear directly. Gears 2 and 3 are therefore not used. No additional printed gears or adapters — which could reduce performance — are required! Only the nylon gears from the reduction gear kits are used. This technic worked in an custom gearbox in my CyberBrick compatible Bumper Cars. I thought this could be also adapted to the original gearbox size and it worked! 

The form factor is almost identical to the official gearbox model, the entire gearbox has been reworked in every detail and optimized tolerances for a 0.2 mm layer height to achieve the best possible result.

 

Speeds Option:

You have the option to use “1:48 Single-axis Kit - LA016”  for 1:11 or "1:37 Single-axis kit - LA014" for 1:8

The other kits are not compatible with this gearbox due the larger crown gear and/or other shaft gear.

Housing Option:

The housing dimension is 99% identical and should fit all projects, which uses the official gearbox. 

The output shaft is positioned 0.6 mm deeper in the housing. which should make no difference.

 

As second option i added a housing with mounting holes. I adapted the hole distances from Josh's Gearbox.

• 1x 030 Mini DC Motor
• 1x  Single-axis reduction Kit LA-014 or LA-016
• Grease
