Short center column for Rollei C6i tripod

This is a replacement center column compatible with the Rollei C6i Aluminium/Carbon tripod. 

It looks slightly crooked on the thumbnail because I wasn't able to get the threaded insert straight. This isn't a problem though and I can assure you that it is very secure regardless.

To screw the head onto the column, a 3/8"-16 UNC threaded insert is required, along with the proper tools (soldering iron with special tip) to press it into the part. In my case, I used these brass threaded inserts made by ruthex:
