Fredde with Monitor Shelf Skadis Mount

A set of brackets designed to securely mount two IKEA SKÅDIS pegboard panels to the rear frame of the Ikea Fredde desk. These brackets are made to fit 1 76x56 cm and 1 56x56 cm Skadis panel flush with the Fredde's metal frame without modification. This system is compatible with and requires the screen riser shelf installed above the main desk surface. Installation is easiest when you can disassemble the top shelf and remove the front metal bar for the lower shelf if your forearms do no fit easily under the lower shelf. You do not need rear access so no need to pull the whole desk away from the wall.

 

Top hooks use the mounting hardware for the standard hanging knobs under the top shelf. Unscrew them, pop the bolt through the printed hook and reattach. mount the rear top bar in place.

 

Slide 2 of the lower hooks onto the back of the lower shelf and lock in place with the pin. 

Slide the larger Skadis panel in place between the top and bottom hooks into one side , should be hard up against the metal upright. If you want to run cables between the skadis and the shelf to the back of the desk, now is the time to slide them into place.

 

Align the 2nd smaller skadis panel into the top hooks and attach the last 2 lower hooks onto the lower shelf and lock into place with pins. The Skadis should now be mounted, reassemble the top shelf and lower shelf front bar and you are done.
