*Finger Bike* Honda CRF250R - Model kit

This bike IS similar in size to my Surron LBX model. It IS a finger bike. Scaled down (OPTIMIZED) version of the Honda bike I uploaded earlier.

you can see the images of it with my Surron LBX model for scale reference!

This is a 1:13 scale Full Suspension Dirt Bike model with FUNCTIONAL front suspension, rear suspension and rotating wheels. Fully 3D printed besides 2 springs (optional) for the suspension.

All the bikes rear suspension linkage is accurate to the real one - all freely moving and functional.

FOR ASSEMBLY INFO - SCROLL DOWN

DISCLAIMER -

CLEAN BUILD PLATE BEFORE PRINTING FOR BEST RESULTS!! :)
parts - especially on the frame have very tight tolerances!

Frame along with all the functioning linkage is fully print in place with few supports (remove with care!)

What you will need -

  • assembly requires Glue

Spring Dimensions - Both the front and rear suspension uses springs which you can easily find in pens

    Front Spring →

    •  Diameter - 4.5 mm or less.
    •  Length - 20 mm or less

    Rear Spring →

    • OUTER diameter - 5mm or less.
    • INNER diameter - 3.5mm or more.
    • Length - Around 20mm or less (not a defined number - you can experiment!)

ASSEMBLY -

(may seem long but don't worry - it's not really!)

  1. .
    1. Grab the two halves of the wheel labeled (rear wheel)
    2. Place the wheel alignment guides (2 small blue pieces) into the grooves on one half of your wheel.
    3. apply glue all around wheel if needed.
    4. Find the 2nd half of the wheel using the text to match - then place the 2nd half of the wheel onto the first. Ensure proper alignment of the tire tread. text should be on opposite sides of each other!
    5. Keep pressure on the wheel until glue sets - then set aside

    2. align the keyhole and slide the rear sprocket onto any side of the rear wheel hub (apply glue if its too loose)

3. On the opposite side of the same wheel - align keyhole and slide on one of the brake rotors (apply glue if its too loose)

  4. Repeat step 1 for the FRONT wheel  (try not to mix up both wheels)

      5. Slide on brake rotor on the front wheel on the side of the wheel hub with the keyhole bump! (repeat step 3 but on the front wheel)

FORK ASSY -

  1. free the stanchion (black in image) by gently twisting and/or pulling down. repeat for both

  2. Slide a spring into one, or both of your fork bodies

    3. slide steerer tube into place - apply glue to keep it secure

    4. press fork guard into place (different for left/right side), it will go on, just try to angle it

  3. slide front mud guard into place. (angle it sideways then insert) refer next two pics

  4.

    6. slide on front number plate

    4. Slide your FRONT wheel (thinner of the two) in-between the fork bodies - secure wheel by sliding in front axle into place. (any one of the axles). then set aside (ensure the front wheel is oriented such that the brake disc is on the left side of the bike)

    COCKPIT ASSY -

          1. Press handlebar into stem. (secure with glue once centered)

      2. Slide on brakes - then grips.  repeat on other side too - on left side make sure to slide display on - then brake - then grip (refer 2nd picture below) (secure with glue if needed)

    How it should look -

3. press the handlebar cushion onto the stem

MAIN ASSY -

PIVIOT ALL the linkage and joints on the frame very gently by hand to loosen them up a little bit. (it might be tough to get moving at fist, but it will move, be gentle!)

          1. Slide your second spring onto the rear shock body -

 2. slide this into place on the frame (refer next two pictures below)

(this may be a little finicky)

for this I found it easier to first place the exposed end of the spring in place first then the side with the shock body.

3. slide engine into its place on frame (refer next two images) tilt it sideways or at some angle and it should fit through. secure by pushing down on red circled part (apply glue here), same on the other side

4. slide exhaust pipe onto this spot on the engine (refer next 2 pictures) ensure at the back, the exhaust pipe is under the bar (highlighted in red)

5. slide on the exhaust - and secure it by hooking it into place onto the frame (red circled)

6. attach rear mudguard by securing on the frame similar to how you did for the exhaust (you may need to fiddle with how you insert it, but it will go on)

7.  press radiators into the frame. (radiators are different, left/ride side)

8. press fuel tank into place on frame

9. slide this ‘trim’ piece on the seat plastics. (there are two trims, left/right pieces)

a. repeat for other side

10. place seat into place on the frame (first flip over the seat and apply glue  on the inside where it will touch the frame)

11. slide bash guard into place under the engine

12. slide entire front suspension assembly through the bikes head tube (hold in place)

13.  Press on the whole cockpit assembly onto the fork assembly to hold it in place. You can apply a small drop of glue here to keep this secure.

12. Slide the whole rear wheel into place and secure with the rear axle. (ensure that the rear sprocket is on the left and brake rotor on the right!)

Enjoy :)
