Bei diesem Couchtisch der Marke „based“ (Modell verlinkt oben) werden ab Werk kleine Gumminoppen mitgeliefert, welche die Glasplatte auf dem Metallgestell halten sollen. In der Praxis verrutschen diese jedoch leicht, besonders wenn man die Füße oder Beine auf dem Tisch ablegt. Mit der Zeit verlieren die Noppen an Haftung, lösen sich teilweise ab und können dazu führen, dass die Glasplatte nicht mehr sicher aufliegt – im schlimmsten Fall kann sie sogar herunterfallen.

Dieses 3D-Modell bietet eine zuverlässige Lösung:
Die Teile werden an den vier Ecken des Tischgestells angebracht und die Glasplatte anschließend darauf abgelegt. Durch die spezielle Geometrie wird die Glasplatte formschlüssig geführt und sicher fixiert, sodass sie auch bei Bewegung oder Belastung nicht mehr verrutscht.

This coffee table from “based” (linked above) comes with small rubber pads that are meant to support the glass top on the metal frame. However, these pads tend to shift over time—especially when resting your feet or legs on the table. They can also lose adhesion or fall off entirely, which may cause the glass top to sit unevenly or even slide off.

This 3D-printed model provides a secure and long-lasting fix:
Each part attaches to one corner of the table frame, and the glass top is then placed on these supports. The geometry of the part ensures the glass is properly guided and held in position so it won’t shift, even during movement or when the table is lightly loaded.

The design is intentionally slim and discreet, keeping the modification visually unobtrusive while greatly improving stability and safety.
