Description
A fully parametric rod connector based on parallel rod geometry, designed as part of a modular connector system.
This model defines a fixed spatial relationship between two rods, making it suitable for building rigid frames, rails, and structural assemblies using simple rods or tubes. One simple use case is a spool holder.
Designed in OpenSCAD, all key dimensions are adjustable — including rod diameter + clearance, connector length and width — allowing the same geometry to adapt to a wide range of materials and construction needs.
This connector is part of my Modular Connectors system, designed for building flexible, scalable structures from simple elements.. It functions as a structural module, which can be combined with other rod geometries (inline, angled, multi-axis) to build larger modular systems. Typical applications include custom frames, racks, rails, and storage structures, including but not limited to filament spool holders.
