Description

I wanted a nice base and puck holder to direct the light directly to the back of a lithophane, so this is what I came up with.

Directions:

First make a lithophane. Preferably an outer curved positive lithophane. There are websites that can do that (not sure i can post links here) and I think Bambu site has one somewhere. Save that as an .stl.

Then in the project file:

  • Delete the “YOUR IMAGE” object
  • Import your litho .stl as geometry (File → Import → Import .3MF. STL, etc → pick litho → select Import geometry only)
  • Move to desired location on the base
  • Select “Base” object and resize as desired to match the curve of your litho. (if you dislike the curve, recreate your litho with different dimensions, for example just increasing the canvas width, so it wraps more around the base and then re-import)
  • Select “Assembly” and your imported image (Ctrl+Click to have both selected) then right-click and select Merge.
  • Select just your image, select Move, and move it up slightly into the base.
  • Slice, Print, and add the LED Puck.

Directions are in the model as well (off plate). Message me if you need assistance.

Check out my other litho project as well:
