Description
A simple and durable dog tag. A 3 piece print assembled with a few drops of super glue. While the tags pictured are generic, I've had a PLA print on my dog's collar for over a year without issues. Far better than his metal tags that quickly became illegible. A PETG tag will hold up even better.
Large, Medium and Small sizes are provided, see pictures for scale. Bruno is wearing a Large. There is also a one-sided tag if you don't need text on both sides. 0.2mm nozzle recommended for Small size.
To edit the text, open the file in Bambu Studio and double click the text objects to edit names, fonts and sizes. See example photo. You can add stencil lines for letters like B and D in the slicer. Flip the inserts using the “Lay on Face” tool in the toolbar if you want the print-bed texture to show. Slicing is by object, so only one filament change. Disable objects to print each filament separately if you dont have AMS.
STL files are also available for easy editing in CAD programs.
To assemble, put some very small drops of superglue in each corner of the bone shape. Not much glue is needed, and you don't want it to squeeze out from the under the letters.
Leave a comment if I can do anything to make this easier. And please upload pictures with your pets :)
