Description
A little illuminated house in the shape of a Christmas Candle was missing for our Christmas village. It is perfect for two LED tea light so that the windows and the flame are illuminated in the dark for a great cosy atmosphere.
The whole model is available in individual parts, so it is very easy to print with nearly no supports and without a special multi-color printer (AMS/MMU). The parts are then simply glued together.
At 100% size, the base plate has a diameter of 108 mm (4,25 inch) and the entire model is approx. 115 mm (4,5 inch) high. LED tea lights up to 40 mm in diameter fit into the house. My personal favorite with enough brightness and timer: https://amzn.to/3GJbT8i
You can of course enlarge and scale upwards as you wish, but you should not print any smaller!
Recommendations for printing:
For optimal results, I recommend the following settings.
- 2 outlines
- 0.12 mm layer height
- 0.4 mm nozzle
- 10% infill
Colors used for my example:
Of course, you can work with all other color combinations and let your creativity run wild. All color suggestions and the number of needed printed parts are mentioned at the beginning of the file name:
- Green
- White
- Grey
- Light Grey
- Transparent
- Red
- Gold
Further notes for the print:
I also applied a fuzzy skin to the snow, wax and the trees to improve the look even more. The windows and the cover will need some supports (tree-support prefered). The door and the flame has a color change during printing and the flame should be printed with only one outline. All special settings are mentioned at the end of the file name!
The door frame will need a multicolor printer to get the candy look. As an option I've also uploaded a single color version. If you like, you can also print the individual parts out of the multicolor-version standing. But this is a bit tricky to glue!
