Anycubic Kobra Max – Direct Drive OEM Conversion

The "Why": 🛠️ The original Anycubic Kobra Max is a workhorse, but its stock Bowden setup can be a struggle when printing TPU or dealing with retraction issues on such a large scale. I designed this Direct Drive OEM conversion to give this classic machine a modern performance boost using a clean, factory-style mounting system.

The Goal: ✅ This isn't a complex, over-engineered mod. It’s a straightforward way to mount your extruder directly over the hotend, reducing the filament path to nearly zero. This results in much better retraction control, easier flexible filament printing, and a more consistent extrusion overall.

Recommended Print Settings:

• Material: 🧵 PETG, ASA, or ABS (Required. PLA will soften under the heat of the stepper motor and hotend).
• Walls: 🧱 6+ walls for maximum structural rigidity.
• Supports: 🏗️ Use Tree (Slim) supports where necessary.
