Sizing & fit
Print the gauge tag plate. This plate has tags with a variety of rim diameters and thicknesses.
2. Try the gauge tags on your actual glasses; note the number that fits how you like.
Glass rims vary widely. On the gauge tags the first number is the glass outer diameter and the second number is the rim thickness, but sloping sides and varying thicknesses make trying the various gauge pieces your best bet.
3. Go to the build plate labeled with that size variant. Copy and paste that tag on that plate as many times as you need, then print. The print profiles include large brims to help stabilize the tags during printing. I recommend manually placing the tags so the brims overlap after slicing – this will help keep the tags stable during printing.
4. Go to the nameplate profile - choose AMS or non-AMS. The non-Ams profile has a print pause built in so you can change to the color you want for the lettering.
5. In Bambu Studio, edit the text on each object to use the name you want. If you haven't done this before in Studio, here's a quick set of steps you can follow, with screenshots below:
Highlight the nameplate you want to edit, and select “Objects” in the left panel.
Expand the nameplate you want to work on (if it isn't already expanded) by clicking the caret at the far left of the body name.
Select the text_shape you want to edit by clicking on it in the left panel. It will highlight when you've selected it.
Next, right click what you just highlighted to bring up the menu. The first item is Edit Text. Click on that.
Now you'll see the box where you can edit the text. Just replace the text that is there with what you want.
Be sure the new text is centered on the tag by dragging the yellow square in the center of the text.
Close out by clicking the text tool on the top menu bar.
.
Copy and paste additional tags as you need them, edit the text, then print the plate.
6. Attach the nameplate to the tag with a dab of glue and you're ready to go!
Boost MePlease enjoy my models! Boosts are never expected but always appreciated.
Customizing
The gauges and provided profiles will work with most common glasses. If you have a glass that isn't covered, try the Customize feature. Put in a value for the glass outer diameter and for the thickness and you'll get a new tag. (The numbers on the gauge tags are the outer diameter and thickness for the tag. Hint: If you have a glass with relatively flat sides, try a large value for the outer diameter.) The nameplates will work with any tag.
