I designed this extending ruler for Kill Team, but it works perfectly for any tabletop wargame. The entire model prints on a single build plate for maximum convenience. 

 

While the spring performs best in PETG, my PLA version works great in regular use.

 

The ruler measures 6 inches and extends an additional 3 inches in clear 1-inch increments, making movement checks fast, accurate, and frustration-free.

Insert spring into the slider, texture side up.

Push it in and you're done.  It'll be stiff the first few times you use it then it's good to go.
