My Annealing/Drying Rack
I wanted a simple drying / annealing rack for the AMS-HT that also had a divider that forced the hot air over the items, so I spent some time in Tinkercad and put this model together. I will mostly be using this for drying my desiccant pods. I printed my desiccant pods in transparent ABS, which has a listed Vicat Softening Temp of 94 deg, so I can put them on this rack in the AMS-HT at 85 deg, and not have to empty and refill the pods.
Concept: The AMS-HT has the blower and intake ports in the enclosure on opposite sides of the machine. When used with a spool, this forces the air across and around the spool to efficiently surround the spool with hot dry air. When using a rack like this, the item are raised above both ports, and the hot air isn't being circulated around the items as efficiently. So I created a shelf to support the items and added a support/divider that blocks the air flow beneath the shelf so the air is forced over the items. Both have been carefully measured and designed for a snug fit.
Recommendations: If you are going to use the shelf for annealing or desiccant drying, you will need to print it in a material with a high heat resistance. ABS, ASA, PC, PA/PET, and PPS are all suitable materials fo the max 85 deg of the AMS-HT. I printed the black tray in PAHT-CF with Bambu's liquid glue on the textured PEI plate. Bambu recommends the .6 nozzle for their PAHT-CF. I printed the grey tray in Bambu Silver ABS with a .4 nozzle with Bambu's liquid glue on the textured PEI plate. For those printing from Bambu Handy App, I have provided both .4 and .6 nozzle profiles. Bambu lists their suggested annealing temps and times here: https://bambulab.com/en-us/filament/guide. For other brands, you should check their manufacturer websites.
Boost MeI only post designs and models that I need/use for myself. I share in case they would help others. If you found my work useful, boosts are always nice :)
