Stitch Marker/ Measure

First model so feel free to improve. Will improve more in the future! 

I made this to measure the brims of beanies as I go. This is a stitch marker/ measure designed to help you keep track of how many inches you have knitted or crocheted, so you don't have to measure each time. Each ring/cable is 2cm/ .5 inch. So each link is an inch. All of the rings open slightly so you can keep them attached to the bottom of the work/section. 

Future improvements:
-Rounded corners for where the ring splits, to ensure the yarn doesn't snag

-A more typical locking stitch marker for the first link to better hold onto the bottom of the project

-Maybe figuring out a way to make it more foldable?
