Description
This is a tiny automata of a swimming whale. It features a simple but interesting mechanism to produce the movement. A form of scotch yoke, where the shaft and cam are a single piece. I love automata and always wanted to make one. This is my first, but not my last, follow me to see my next project!
Assembly:
No glue or hardware required. Assembly is simple, although it takes a bit of patience because the pieces are miniscule. Use twicers if you need. And keep away from small kids or pets (due to tiny pieces). Check out the gif assembly guide, note the size of the holes before inserting the shaft.
Printing:
No especial settings for printing. But do look out for part orientation and have a clean buildplate. The whale pieces should have the hole facing down as they print.
