Description
These height extension brackets raise the top shelf of the metal Yukon 48" workbench from Harbor Freight to have about 28.5" of space under the top light shelf. I was redoing my printing setup and the workbench itself is sturdy but the original top shelf limited space for 3d printers (about 22.5 inches under the shelf). With these brackets the H2 series now fits under the top shelf/light.
All original workbench parts continue to be used with this design. This includes the original metal parts that surround the light fixture as well as light functionality. These brackets simply move their install location up.
To install you will need 20 additional nuts, bolts, and washers. I used 1/4" machine bolts @ 1 ¼". I ran out so ignore the few oddball bolts in the photos.
Installation:
I use PLA+ primarily but you may use whatever you like. Adjust accordingly for shrinkage.
Note: If you are using an H2 with an AMS 2/AMS HT/AMS, I also designed some AMS 2 tilt stands as even with the brackets the AMS have lid issues with the top shelf. With the tilt stands they are able to open as normal. My P1S has a similar issue but I don't believe it would if it wasn't using a riser on top. I will have a version for the original AMS uploaded soon.
