Description

Welcome to my submission for the 2024 Kit Card contest.

This is a quick to assemble manual clock which could be a useful aid in helping children learn to tell the time.

There are 9 pieces in total, 3 for the stand and 6 to assemble the clock. I used white PLA for the main body and painted the accents with black using an AMS in Bambu Studio. Alternatively, you could probably paint the clock by hand/ with a paint pen if you don't have access to an AMS.

Assembly instructions:

Push the centre axle through the back of the clock face. This is keyed to help it stay in place.

Now place the spacer over the centre axle, this will rest on top of the clock face.

Next comes the minutes hand, push the bottom hole side of the hand over the axle, chamfer side down. This will help prevent the hand from rubbing against the minute and hour extrusions on the top of the clock face.

Now place the smaller hours hand above the minutes hand by sliding it over the axle.

Finally, lock the assembly in place with the axle cap. This is a tight fit to ensure the axle assembly doesn't become loose over time. As it's a tight fit, you might want to gently push the assembly against something hard to ensure the cap sits flush against the minutes hand.

Hope you guys enjoy and make use of this model. I remember purchasing something similar to help my twins learn the time when they were little. Now you can print your own on demand :)
