Description
After a fantastic trip to the Wildwoods this summer, I searched everywhere for a miniature 3D print of the iconic sign to make as a souvenir. When I couldn't find one online, I decided to design this model myself.
This sign looks great as a standalone display piece during the day, but it really comes to life when paired with a cheap set of fairy lights. With the lights installed, it transforms into a fully functional, glowing replica of the original landmark!
Hardware Note: For my build, I used a standard set of Brightown fairy lights, but the design is flexible. If you want to take it a step further, you could absolutely wire individual LEDs into each light hole for a custom look.
Profile Note: The included print profile is set up to use Support for PLA/PETG for the support interface layers. This is entirely optional and not required for a successful print. However, I included it because it results in an extra clean surface finish on the overhangs.
I hope you enjoy bringing a little piece of the boardwalk home!
