Puzzle box

great gift box . Solve the slide puzzle to open.

The solution for this puzzle is different than the other similar box. I plan on giving my gift this year in this box.  The box becomes part of the gift. I can will have a different solution for different people.

You might want to change the color of some of the pieces. If you change just the outside surface, It would keep the poop to a minimum

The solution is a couple pictures that show the solution. Move the pieces by the numbers in the direction of the arrow. 28 total steps.

 

This print relys on calibration. There is a small simple part on plate 1 that prints fast and small. use the same settings that print the main puzzle. 

The test part shows the gap between the pieces. And the bridging that happens over the first piece. The bridging might  need to be freed. If the pieces have restrictions it is hard to say if the main will have problems.  To free the bridge are insert a thin object. 

If there are minor restrictions you might be able to with the main. 

The photo of the test part has a blue line where the bridging might need some encouragement to move.

If the part is undersized. the test would not show. This situation allows the parts too come out easily.

 

Before you install the backing plate. Make sure the pieces are freed from each other.  You can use a flat screw driver to push the pieces from the inside so scratches are hidden by the backing plate. 

The backing should snap in. But I would suggest gluing in after it is snapped in.

 

If you want to use a prismatic, or a textured build plate the top and bottom. The backing plate visible surface is the build plate texture. You can see in the photos there is one box that has a prismatic plate on the outside and inside. Another box with a carbon fiber weave pattern.

 

There is a modifier part around the main puzzle that defines the surface for fuzzy skin.
