Description

A tilt stand for the AMS HT to allow easier access (or in my case because the lid hit my top shelf without the stand) that maintains the AMS shape with a gap in the bottom middle for airflow. The stand prints in 2 main pieces, 2 printed connectors, and 4 small optional TPU anti skid cylinders that can be glued on. I highly suggest using the TPU anti skid pieces or your choice of anti slip material for the bottom or it will slide around.  The TPU prints work great once a filament spool is loaded into the AMS HT.

 

The stand bottom keeps air flow possible and the design of the stand does not interfere with the AMS HT exhaust. 

 

I used PLA for the stand so you should adjust other filaments accordingly for shrinkage.

 

Complete model uses roughly 270g of filament with the print profiles. There are 2 print profiles. The H series printers can print Left/Right side of the tilt stand on 1 plate.  X/P/A1 users will need 2 plates to print the two sides. Both profiles have a separate plate for the needed connectors as well as a plate for the optional TPU anti slip parts.

 

Assembly is very easy after printing all the parts.

  1. Install your choice of anti slip material (glue the printed tpu or other) on the bottom of the 2 main stand parts.
  2. Insert the 2 printed connectors until they stop into one side of the printed stand (they are not interchangeable so you won't be able to mix them up).
  3. Line up and slide the other half of the stand fully onto the connectors (you can use adhesive if you wish but once assembled and in position with the AMS it won't come apart. I am not using adhesive and it hasn't had any issues)
  4. Position the AMS HT onto the stand and reconnect it if you have it disconnected.
