Festive Christmas Ornament Candle Mold

Create your own festive candles with these Christmas ornament–inspired molds!
Each mold produces a 5 cm spherical candle — the perfect size for small gifts, table decorations, or cozy winter vibes. The detailed shape gives your candles that classic ornament look, making them a charming handmade touch for the holidays.

🕯️ Candle Casting Instructions:

1. Make sure the mold is clean and dry before pouring.
2. Melt your chosen candle wax:
   • Paraffin: 60–68 °C
   • Soy wax: 52–60 °C
   • Beeswax: 62–70 °C
3. Secure the wick in the center of the mold.
4. Pour the melted wax slowly to avoid bubbles.
5. Let the candle cool completely before demolding.
6. If a small seam appears where the mold parts meet, simply remove it carefully with a knife or scalpel for a smooth finish.

🧩 Printing Notes:

• Printed with PETG is recommended for better heat resistance, though PLA also works fine.
• Due to FDM printing, small ridges may appear inside the mold where the wax can stick. To minimize this:
  • Lightly smooth or seal the inner surface (especially around overhangs), or
  • Use a release agent such as mold spray or even simple baking spray as a household alternative.
  • It works without, but some wax may remain in the mold after use.
• Holding rings that clamp the mold parts together can fit tightly — this is intentional to ensure proper alignment and reduce gaps.
• For added stability, I recommend three wall lines and lightning infill to save material.

Each candle mold creates a 5 cm ornament candle that looks great on its own or as part of a holiday set. You can mix in color pigments or glitter for a unique effect — perfect for gifts or seasonal decor.
