CeraVe Jar Adapter for Costco Multi-Pack

I bought the CeraVe Moisturizing Cream Interchangeable Multi-Pack at Costco, a 16 oz jar with a pump and a 16 oz jar. I always thought the cap with the pump and the one without were interchangeable, but I only found out when I actually used it that they were not only different in diameter, but also in thread type and pitch. Fortunately, CeraVe didn't completely block my options and left me room to modify them.
