Turn Any Image into a Spiral or Line Art Plaque

Turn any photo or logo into a clean 2-color wall plate directly in the MakerWorld customizer.
This OpenSCAD project takes an SVG file and turns it into a 3D-printable plate with a any colour base and a raised design on top.

🔁 From image to SVG (Spiral / Lines)

If you don’t already have an SVG, you can create one in a few seconds:

1. Go to www.marjers.com
2. Click “SVG Spiral / Line Generator”
3. Upload any image (portrait, logo, pet, text, etc.)
4. Choose Spiral or Lines mode and generate a SVG
5. Download that SVG and upload it here in the MakerWorld customizer (SVG_File)

You now have a unique, printable line/spiral art plate ready to go.

🧱 What this customizer does

• Uses your SVG as the main artwork
• Creates a base (disc, square, or SVG-shaped outline)
• Adds a raised layer on top with your design
• Lets you tweak:
  • Overall size (never smaller than 150 mm)
  • Base shape: Disc / Square / SVG outline
  • Base thickness
  • Top (SVG) thickness
  • SVG scale & X/Y offset
  • Line “fattening” (make thin lines more printable)
  • Extra margin around the SVG when using the SVG-shaped mode

🎨 Printing tips

• Print the base in white and the SVG layer in a darker colour
• For 2-color result on a single extruder:
  • Slice with a pause at height just before the SVG layer starts,
  • Swap to a darker filament for the top.
• If very fine lines vanish in your slicer, increase SVG_Fatten a little.
