🛠️ What You Need
Besides the filament, you only need one thing to make the mechanism work:
- 🟢 A strong rubber band.
- ❄️ Lots of snow!
💡 Stability Tip (Recommended)
While the toy stands on its own, for the best performance and to prevent tipping during powerful launches, I included 2 mounting holes in the base. 👉 I highly recommend screwing the catapult onto a wooden board or a heavy base using 2 screws. This will give you maximum stability on the snow!
⚡ Elastic Band & Power Modes
For the mechanism to work effectively, I recommend using wide flat natural rubber bands (slingshot style), like these ones on Amazon.
- 🎯 Standard Setup: For maximum performance, tie the elastic so that the active section (excluding knots) is 8 cm (approx. 3.15 inches) long.
- 🚀 Power Boost: Want more range? Double the power! You can use two elastics of the same size installed in parallel.
- 😈 Killer Mode: Engage at your own risk! Use 3 elastics: attach two of them to the main anchor ring, and the third one to the first hook located at the base.
