FractMod- Two Nail Marking Tool

Mounting items with two nails no longer has to involve a measuring tape.

This compact marking tool delivers fast, clean, and perfectly spaced drilling points every single time.

 

Slide the links apart until they extend past both hanging points, turn the ¼ turn cam to lock the links in place.

Align the measuring probe on one side, tighten the locking nut, then repeat for the opposite side.

Position and level the tool on the wall, press it against the surface, and the built-in markers leave two precise drill points at the exact spacing of your frame or décor.

Print Notes

 

The spring and plunger are unchanged from the original KMT design, no dimensional updates were required.

 

Parts needing extra adhesion to be printed on the A1 and A1 mini already have a brim added, so no slicer changes are needed.

The only supports in this print are for the top flat of the spring, and they detach cleanly.

 

 

Print Recommendations

 

• Material: PLA or PETG

• Layers: Use adaptive layer height to maintain sharp spring geometry, threads, and contact tips

• Infill: 10–15% Gyroid

• Orientation: Print all objects in the orientation set in the profile

• Supports: Tree supports touching build plate only (for spring top flat)

 

Print profiles have been optimized to provide clean, accurate, repeatable results on most machines.
