Description
This heavy-duty motorcycle front fork vise clamp is designed to securely hold off-road suspension forks during maintenance, service, or rebuilds—without damaging the fork tubes. The included sleeves fit KYB 48mm, WP 48mm, and Showa 49mm fork tubes.
This clamp requires atleast 6 walls for maximum strength! The clamp allows the fork to be positioned safely outside the vise while maintaining a solid grip. I tried to round off all the corners for added strength and reduce cracking.
Printed in PETG. If you try to print in PLA please update with your results.
I did not have a chance to put this clamp through rigorous testing so I need your feedback to improve upon the design! I have been too busy to get back to testing this design.
I uploaded a .Step file you can edit in CAD to adjust the inner diamter hole size. Always add roughly .20 to your measurement to compensate.
Make Your Own Sleeve in Bambu Studio! - I uploaded a print profile you can create your own custom sleeve for your fork inside of Bambu Studio.
All you need to do is plug in your fork outer diameter where you want to clamp into the "negative part or generic cylinder" and print!
Once in the slicer, select the generic cylinder, select scale, input your fork values into X and Y, leave the Z at 50mm.
Add approximately .20 onto your outer diameter size to compensate. In the print profile I have the X,Y dimension set at 60.20mm currently so if your fork is 58.40 OD, you want to input 58.60 OD into the X and Y of the negative part! When you slice the file, it will exclude the “generic cylinder” and leave the hole for your exact fork! I also implemented a slice into the sleeve to help the sleeve flex slightly. I have not tested the sliced sleeve so please provide constructive feedback if you do print! If you need help please get a hold of me!
Perfect for dirt bike mechanics, suspension tuners, or anyone performing fork maintenance on modern off-road motorcycles.
Please respect the time and effort creators put into their work. I upload my designs as MakerWorld exclusives under the standard digital license so the community can enjoy and print them, not so they can be copied, modified, and re-uploaded by others. Designing these parts takes many hours of measuring, CAD work, prototyping, and testing before release. Continued plagiarism and unauthorized reposting discourages creators from sharing original designs with the community. If this continues, I may stop uploading my original work to MakerWorld altogether.
