Just a Pen Cup or the “Ultimate Writing Utensil Chalice"? :)

Hello, I designed this to enter in the design challenge here on printables.com. I wanted something sturdy. The big advantage is it has pen/pencil holders built-in all around the outside of the “chalice‘s crown” as well as the inside. Additional space in the center for large items. Outside size set for regular bic pens, holes are 12mm for regular Sharpies.

The outside mounts are made as compliant holders allowing writing utensils to snap in and out. It grips them extremely well.

Deminsions approximately 3"x6" inches. Sand or steel balls could be added for extra weight by pausing print before lower outer chamber finishes printing. Be the envy of all your friends and family with this very special and timeless functional art, lol.

Model is not perfect, a good bit was hand modeled in TinkerCad.

Printed in PLA+ .28mm 5% infill..

Want to customize? If you'd like to resize outer ring for difference sized objects, I recommend just printing out a 1cm tall slice of the top to verify size before full print job. Then you can physically try the pieces you want. In Cura, you can simply drop your Z height down to where just a little of the model is showing.
