F-14D Super Tomcat Kit Card

The Grumman F-14D Super Tomcat is the third and final variant of the F-14. The Tomcat is a supersonic, two-seat, Variable-Geometry Wing Fighter jet. Variable-Geometry Wings, more commonly known as swing wings, means the aircrafts wings are not fixed in one position and can change throughout flight. This variant of the F-14 had GE F110-GE-400 engines, upgraded avionics with a glass cockpit, and the AN/APG-71 radar, thus increasing the combat capabilities of the F-14. The Tomcat has had multiple appearances in movies and shows, some of these include The Final Countdown and Top Gun along with its sequel Top Gun Mavrick.

I took inspiration from Nakozen's Tornado GR4 for the Variable-Geometry Wings. This model was suggested by Freddy586 over on Thingiverse.

Both Sprue and Sprue-less models included along with models of individual parts. While the fit is relatively snug, glue is recommended.

Print at a .2 mm layer height with 100% infill.
