Description
This is a Lord of the Rings themed dice and mini storage that also doubles as a roll tray! On the front, there's a design with the One Ring and the back has a design with the Tree of Gondor.
I designed this box to hold my sets of dice as well as some of my dnd minis. A common issue I had was I found it difficult to transport my fragile minis around carefully to avoid them getting damaged. This box uses a removable piece that securely holds the base of the minis to the box during transport. This works for all types of minis and does not rely on magnets to hold the mini in place (some of the minis I bought had no hole to include a magnet in the base).
Boost MeIf you enjoy my designs, please leave a boost to support my work!Note this print profile was made for the A1 Mini. For larger bed sizes, you may be able to consolidate both parts onto the same plate.
If your base is taller or shorter than the default piece in the print, I've included a separate version on a different plate that is slightly raised. The piece can be used to allow for thicker bases or thinner bases (by flipping it upside down). If these don't fit your mini, you can adjust the hole formed in the middle to be slightly larger by cutting the existing piece and give more room for your mini. The goal of this design was that this piece could be adjusted to fit any mini.
Note: If you don't have an AMS, you can still print this by changing the filament manually mid-layer. To do this, you can update the g-code to insert a pause when the print would normally call the AMS for a filament change. The code required and the instructions on how to do it can be found here for the A1-mini. The current print setup was designed with two filament changes to create two layers of the inlay design (black → yellow→ black). You may need to change the “{if toolchange_count > 1}” line to 0. I've had it skip the first filament change before.
