Bookfinity Collection - With Latches

What is Bookfinity?

Bookfinity let's you store your tools, components and consumables in books on a bookshelf to replace boring tool boxes. 

All books have a gridfinity grid inside, letting you take full advantage of the 1000s of tool holders and component bins in the eco-system.

What's New with this Collection?

I've added a latch! You will need 2 M3 x 30mm bolts and 2 Nyloc Nuts per book and you'll have a super secure latch for your bookfinity collection.

What's Volumes?

I've split up the collection into Volumes because the categories were getting confusing. I'm initially launching this one with Vol 1, designed for A1 Minis. These are 2x3 gridfinity sizes so you can finally get into Bookfinity and it's a better size for your desk and for smaller sets.

 

Assembly Instructions

1. Print both the top cover and the bottom cover of the book. If you're not using the 3MF files, you need to change color at 4mm layer.

2. Insert 4mm diameter, 3mm deep magnets into the corners. This helps align it before gluing. 

3. Glue the top and bottom covers together using super glue. Cover the area shown below. 

 4. Insert the bins / gridfinity holder for your book

5. Attach the latch

Using 2 M3 x 30mm Bolts and 2 M3 Nyloc bolts, attach the latch to the top cover of the book and a bolt through the bottom

6. Boost the model.

This is WIP, go see the original Bookfinity until this is ready.

I've added a single book there for Metric Drill bits, this used this insert from makerworld and I got the drill bits from AliExpress.

Fusion360 Model

I've uploaded the fusion model for you to edit your own books. It should be pretty robust since it's built on the last book but you'll need to move the logo and play around with the text if you change the sizes. Use the parametric table to change the text / size/
