Ant nest BIG

It is a big-sized antnest with several chambers and a humidification tank with great autonomy ( even more than two week at 20/25°C), the water tank is connected to the rest of the nest by micro holes.

The water tank can be refill from outside the nest (see pictures)

All you need to build it:

• a (18 * 12)cm acrylic/plexiglass sheet (I used one of a 2mm thick photo frame)
• 2 screws (m3*20mm) +2 screws (m3*30mm) and nuts
• 10/11mm external diameter tube (to connect the nest to the arena) (my tube is external diameter 11mm/ internal diameter 8mm and fits perfect)
• a drop of glue to fit the two suport foot to the body (if not lifted the can be left without glue)

Print files explanation:

• Body + water tank +2x support foot

• Only cap (print in black or a dark colour to prevent light to go inside a disturb ants)

   

Print setup:

• 0,2mm layer height
• No support, print it in normal position
• use standard Pla, I used white for the nest and black for the cover to prevent the light from going inside
