Description

This model features standalone, linkable chain pieces designed to be printed individually and connected together to form chains of any length. Each link includes a small triangular gap in the center, allowing links to slide together and lock into place without tools, glue, or hardware.

These modular links are ideal for creating custom chains, necklaces, hanging displays, keychains, or decorative projects. Print as many links as needed and assemble them to fit your exact use case. The design is simple, durable, and optimized for easy 3D printing.

All chain links are released into the public domain and are free to use, modify, remix, and distribute for both personal and commercial projects with no restrictions. Perfect for makers who want a flexible, reusable chain system for creative builds and displays.

Print Recommendation & Fit Guide

For the easiest assembly, it’s recommended to use the file with “BiggerGap” in the name. This version has a slightly larger triangular center gap, making the links much easier to slide together and connect, especially when printing in stiffer materials or at higher layer heights.

If you prefer a super snug, tight fit, you can use the file without “BiggerGap” in the name. This version offers a cleaner, tighter connection, but it can be more difficult to assemble and may require extra force, tighter print tolerances, or minor post-processing to get the links together.

Choose the version that best fits your printer calibration, filament type, and how permanent you want the assembled chain to feel.
