This is a magnetic holder designed specifically for the IKEA SKÅDIS pegboard system.
The model is equipped with two round magnets (18 mm diameter, 1 mm thickness) and is intended for holding lightweight metal accessories, such as small tools or metal parts.
The holder mounts directly onto the SKÅDIS pegboard and provides a clean, minimal solution for organizing metal items in workshops, offices, or home setups.
Magnet Installation & Printing Notes (Important)
- The model is designed for 2 × 18 mm × 1 mm magnets
- A print pause is required at layer 15 to insert the magnets
- Minimum top cover layer over the magnets must not be less than 0.16 mm
This is critical to ensure proper magnet retention and surface quality - It is strongly recommended to use the provided print profile, which is configured to meet this requirement (Initial layers are printed at 0.08 mm layer height. This minimizes the distance between the magnet and the attracted metal object, improving magnetic performance. All remaining layers are printed at 0.16 mm layer height, balancing strength and print time)
- For improved bonding between the filament and the magnets, you may lightly coat the magnets with PEI build plate glue before inserting them
