M3 PCB Feet, Stand-offs and Spacers

UPDATE: Added a print profile for a new version with no M3 heat insert required. This version has an interference fit with M3 screws, or screws with ~3mm major thread diameter. 

 

 

These PCB feet are a replacement for those found on vintage arcade and pinball circuit boards, and they are well suited to other PCB projects as well! They are sized to fit M3 heat inserts, which matches the M3 screws that many arcade/pinball PCBs utilize. 

 

Circuit board spacers and PCB stand-offs for multi-level PCBs are also included (16 mm high); these can be stretched if taller spacing is needed.

 

PCB feet are 20mm high and suitable for PCBs with mounting holes from 3 mm to 6-7 mm (larger PCB hole sizes would require washers or truss head screws).

 

Three print profiles are included: 

• Profile 1 for No heat insert, M3 self threading (carefully designed to thread with M3 screws).
• Profile 2 for M3x5x4 mm heat inserts (5.0 mm wide inserts); available at the Maker Supply link below. 
• Profile 3 for M3x4.5x3 mm heat inserts (4.5 mm wide inserts).

Model Details: 

• PCB Feet: 20 mm tall, ~20 x 10 mm footprint, matching vintage arcade PCB feet.
• Spacers: 16 mm tall, 4 mm ID, 8 mm OD.
• Stand-offs: 16 mm tall, press fit for 3 mm holes. 

Hardware Details:

• M3 x 6-10 screws should be utilized for single layer PCBs. 
• M3 x 25 mm screws should be utilized with the spacer for two level PCBs.
• Please select the print profile that matches your M3 heat insert size.
