MagSafe Charger Vent Mount

The model features two designs: The first is a mount that holds the official Apple MagSafe charger, and the second features a DIY solution if you do not have the MagSafe charger.

The MagSafe version has 2 files. One has a puck incorporated in the design so it can be printed out without supports. The puck can easily be removed post-printing.

For the second design: Their are slots for a magnet array using the official Apple guide document for designing compatible accessories. These can be added to the print with a schedules filament change mid-print. There is a screenshot of the slicer shown at the correct layer. This will change based on your layer height, but just adjust the change to be right before the magnets are printed over. The magnets used are 40, 4x2mm neodymium magnets. These create a secure connection quite similar to other official MagSafe accessories.

The vent mount piece is printed out of TPU for a snug fit. After several versions, I have come up with a design that fits quite securely on my air vent. The STEP file is provided for this piece to allow customizing.

The vent mount and main body are connected with 2, 10x3mm magnets, but the fit is pretty snug even without the magnets. This is to allow easy switching if you decide to change mounts or accessories.
