Description
I started trying to find a riser that I liked I found the BLV - AMS / AMS 2 Riser for X1C / P1S / P2S v4. But I use two AMS 2 Pro on this printer and space is getting limited. So I started looking for alternatives shelves, I found a few that went on top of the riser even printed one out, that didn't quite fit. It didn't take long before it bowed, It was a little too long And was not supported by anything on the outside edges Also they were sharp pointed. I found another that I liked that looked like it went with this riser but soon discovered it went with a different riser. I then found one that looked as though it would work but quickly found that it also went with a different type riser. So left to my own devices I checked all three of these out and decided to start working on my own. I used one idea's from all 3 the and first one that I printed out was closer to what I wanted but left me thinking ( over KILL). what I came up with would not be not a very thick part but it's very stable, It does not bend easily after put together. If you would like to add a little glue before you snap it all together I would suggest using E-6000 Although I personally didn't use anything. I would suggest starting with putting 3,4,5 and 6 together first on a flat surface.
As a side note I am aware that this looks like two other AMS shelfs on MakerWorld. With that in mind, This one is made more form fitting to the newly redesigned BLV - AMS Riser V4.0 for P2S not as wide as some of the others fitting the foot print of the 2 AMS better. Using The Cross pull and push approach with 3 sided tongue and groove gives the platform a strong stable deck.
With that in mind you will find that the KNR's Dual AMS Rack & BLV - AMS Riser V4.0 for P2S are a great pair.
