Description
The original orientation of the print required 13 hours and several hundred filament changes due to the orientation and color transitions needed for very small sections.
This approach simply duplicates the model, lays it flat, flips one piece 180 degrees, and then sinks both parts into the build plate so each becomes half the original thickness. The two halves can then be glued together after printing.
By doing this, the print time is reduced to 52 minutes, with only 5 filament changes, making the process far more efficient, economical, and less wasteful.
