OpenAnt Outworld

Hello, this is my version of an OpenSource Antfarm called OpenAnt, the dimensions of the connectors for the Antfarm can be seen on the pictures above. If you need any more information feel free to leave a comment.

What you need:

m2x4 threaded inserts

m2x8 Screws

microscope glass 76x25x1

optional:

120 Mesh

concrete

For the outworld: 

The bottom is filled with concrete, you can do this also, alternatively use some Sand our whatever you feel like is good for the ground of your Ants

The Lid: 

The Lid is screwed on by 6 m2x8 screws, in the bottom are 6 m2x4 threaded inserts to secure the screws.

Lid caps:

The Lid has 2 optional caps which can be removed to clean the outworld

-version 1 Glass → the g-code has an imbeded pause, when the pause is triggered insert 3 microscope glasses and resume the print, the glasses will be printed in form 1 part (i reccomend to put some 3D printing glue on the glass for better adhesion of the next layer as you would do on a glass build plate, as the printer will print on the glass)

-version 2 Mesh → to improve airflow: Print the 2 Parts of the Mesh Lid, cut a 75x75 piece out of the Mesh, then add glue to one side of the frame, put the mesh on the frame and press the 2 parts together until the glue is cured (you will need a lot of force to press the two parts together, thats normal)
