X2D/P2S Spool Holder Bearing Upgrade Kit

Overview

This Spool Holder Bearing Upgrade Kit for Bambu Lab P2S / X2D is a functional mod designed to improve filament management by attaching directly to your stock spool holder. By combining the optimized 3D-printed geometry with required lubrication, this kit achieves a very smooth and consistent rotation that significantly outperforms stock plastic-on-plastic holders. It reduces filament drag and helps prevent extrusion inconsistencies, leading to an overall improvement in print quality.

Important: Silicone spray is REQUIRED. This part is designed to work with lubrication to ensure low friction and prevent wear.

Compatible Spool Size

• Supports filament spools with an inner diameter of 49mm and above.
  
  [Clearance Adjustment] When installing this bearing kit, the spool position shifts slightly outward due to the thickness of the bearings. Depending on the spool size or inner diameter, this may cause interference with the PTFE connector rod.

   

  If you experience any contact between the spool and the rod, I recommend using the PTFE Connector Rod Extender (15mm). It extends the rod position by 15mm, ensuring perfect clearance while maintaining the smooth rotation provided by the bearing upgrade.

Parts List

• 2x Spool Bearings
• 2x Secure Lock Pins

Assembly Instructions

1. Print two sets of the bearing and lock pin.
2. Apply silicone spray through the lubrication hole (REQUIRED).
3. Remove the stock spool holder from your printer and completely disassemble it. they cannot be slid over the end of an assembled holder.
4. Slide the bearings onto your stock 26mm spool holder.
5. Insert the lock pins to secure the bearings in place.
6. Note on Fitment: Due to slight manufacturing tolerances in stock spool holders, the lock pins may feel loose. If this occurs, please adjust the dimensions (scale) of the pins in Bambu Studio (Desktop version) before re-printing for a tighter fit.
7. Position your filament spool between the bearings.

Usage & Maintenance

This accessory enhances the reliability of your filament path. Periodically check the rotation and re-apply lubricant as needed to maintain low-friction performance.
