3D Kanto Region Map (HeartGold / SoulSilver Style)
I designed this topographic map of Kanto based on the specific layout from Pokémon HeartGold & SoulSilver. It’s a great way to get that nostalgia on the wall with actual physical depth rather than just a flat print.
Johto is currently in the works and coming soon!
How it fits together
This isn't a single-piece print. I broke the design down into three main components to make printing and assembly cleaner:
- Ocean & Grass: Prints as one solid piece.
- Mountains: Prints as a separate piece for the higher elevations.
- Routes & Towns: This grid slots directly into the terrain pieces to lock the look together.
Printing Notes
- AMS Recommended: Perfect for getting the multi-color look on the terrain and route pieces, but since each layer is a different color, you can add pauses to the print and manually swap colors.
- Ocean and Grass
- Start with Blue
- Layer 7 switch to light blue
- Layer 9 switch to tan
- Layer 12 switch to green
- Mountains
- Start with green
- Layer 17 switch to brown
- Layer 24 switch to tan
- Layer 27 switch to khaki
- Routes and Towns
- Start with light blue
- Layer 6 switch to white
- Layer 12 switch to black
- Layer 15 switch to red
- Assembly: The terrain pieces (Water/Grass and Mountains) are designed to fit together, and the Route/Town grid inserts into them. The whole assembly fits into the included printable frame for a finished look.
