This system consists of two separate printed parts:
- Label Plate – the visible tag with large, high-contrast text
- Shelf Clip – a sturdy snap-on clip that attaches to round or tubular shelf rails
The two-piece design makes printing fast, flexible, and easy to customize.
Key Features
- Big, readable lettering — easy to identify filament types from across the room
- Editable text — label text can be modified directly in Bambu Studio (no CAD work required)
- Modular system — print only the labels you need, reuse clips across your setup
- Clean, professional look — perfect for PLA, PETG, ABS, TPU, Support, or custom labels
- Designed for steel / metal shelving — common garage and shop shelf systems
- Clip pegs should friction fit into the back of the labels, however you can place a single drop of superglue onto the pegs for permanent fit.
Customization
- Change label text in Bambu Studio in Object view. Right click the text object and select “Edit” to change the label text.
- Swap filament colors for high contrast or color-coding
- Scale labels or clips independently if needed. Original size fits 13mm tubular shelving by default.
- Print labels and clips in different materials if desired as long as you make sure the pegs fit snugly in the holes on the back of the labels.
Printing Notes
- Labels and clips are printed separately
- Supports are recommended under the clip tabs as well as for the holes in the back side of the labels.
- Prints cleanly in PLA, PETG, or ABS
- Text prints crisply, even at standard layer heights
Assembly Notes
- It is recommended to print the labels and clips in two different print jobs to avoid striping on the clips from the color changes.
- For best results, print the labels last so they are warm from printing when you install the clips. A warm print makes it easier to insert the alignment pegs of the clip into the back of the labels.
- Use a pocket knife or a steak knife to remove the supports on the back side of the labels. A second relief circle marks where the holes that need supports removed.
