Description

This is a Samsung Galaxy A17 case made to work with Hex Connect mounts. I made this based off of basic dimensions and pictures, since I wasn't able to find good CAD drawings, so I would love to hear how this fits on an A17.

Made to be printed in rigid plastics, PLA, ABS, PETG, and ASA should all work fine.

Let me know what Hex Connect mount (tripod? car mount? etc.) you'd like to see next!

**Update 2/20/2026**

Added an extra 0.2mm to the back of the case to strengthen the mounting point for the Hex Connect teeth.

Added grip to the side of the cases.

Added raised ridge around the screen to better protect it.

Added bigger cutouts for the XL case to flex easier for installation.

****

Boost MeHelp me spread this design by boosting me! I would love more people to use and design Hex Connect models!

The three provided variants are:

  1. Standard with Magsafe - Connects to the standard Hex Connect connector. Has a recess for mounting a thin Magsafe metal sticker with ID of 45mm and OD of 55mm.
  2. Standard without Magsafe - Connects to the standard Hex Connect connector without the Magsafe recess.
  3. XL - Connects to the XL Hex Connect connector. It's too thick for proper Magsafe functionality so no magsafe recess included.

Standard vs XL pros and cons:

Standard:

  • Pros
    • Thin enough for proper Magsafe support (2 mm)
    • Slimmer case is more convenient for everyday use
    • Allows use with Magsafe mounts using a case-mounted metal ring
    • Probably stronger than you would expect :)
  • Cons
    • Not as strong as XL

XL:

  • Pros
    • Strongest connection for high-intensity activities
  • Cons
    • Thicker case is less convenient for everyday use
    • Not Magsafe compatible
