DFRobot 5” V2 DSI Frame-less Kiosk Stand

This is a minimalist, open-frame mounting solution for the DFRobot 5” V2 DSI Touchscreen. Designed for a "frameless" kiosk mode, this stand leaves the screen edges exposed for a sleek, modern look and showing off the Raspberry Pi securely mounted on the rear.

Design & Ergonomics

The stand provides a vertical 17-degree viewing angle, which offers an ideal balance for desktop interaction and glanceability. By stripping away the bulky housing found in traditional cases, the display appears to float, making it perfect for home automation dashboards, media controllers, or secondary system monitors (I use it for my Home Assistant Energy Dashboard).

Print & Assembly Notes

  • Simple Print: The geometry is straightforward and prints quickly.
  • Supports: Recommended only for the mounting holes to ensure clean bolt pass-throughs.
  • Hardware: Designed to work with the original screws included with the DFRobot display.
  • Warning: The V2 display is precision hardware—do not over-tighten the screws during assembly to avoid stress on the print.

Current Status

This is a functional, "v1" release. While the mounting is rock-solid, integrated cable management for the DSI ribbon cable is still in development. If you are looking for a raw, industrial aesthetic that lets the hardware speak for itself, this is a great starting point.
