Modernize Your Landscaping
Upgrade your outdoor drainage with a designer touch. This Wave Drain Cover is a custom-designed, drop-in replacement for standard 4-inch drain pipes and grates commonly found at big-box hardware stores.
I designed this because stock green plastic covers are often an eyesore in well-maintained gardens. The organic wave pattern provides a sleek, modern aesthetic while maintaining high-flow water drainage.
The featured model in the main landscape photo was printed in PETG-CF (Titan Gray). I chose this material because its matte, carbon-fiber texture perfectly complements natural river rock and outdoor environments.
Two Versions Included
I have provided two design options to ensure a perfect look regardless of your pipe's installation:
- 10mm Decorative Flange: Features a 10mm outer lip designed to overlap and conceal the edge of the pipe. This is ideal if your drainage pipe sits slightly above the ground or has a rough, uneven edge.
- Flush Mount: A streamlined version that sits directly inside the pipe for a completely minimalist look.
Why Choose This Model?
- Perfect Fit: Precision-engineered for standard 4" utility pipes (common for NDS and similar systems).
- Modern Aesthetic: Looks exceptional in river rock, mulch, or gravel beds.
- Print-Friendly: Designed to be self-supporting—no supports needed.
- Heavy Duty: My recommended settings use 6 walls and 25% infill for a solid, premium feel.

⚠️ Material & Durability Warning
While initial testing was done in SUNLU PLA 2+, the primary outdoor photos showcase the final version printed in PETG-CF (Titan Gray) for maximum UV resistance and a premium finish, please note:
- Outdoor Use: If installing in direct sunlight or high-heat areas, DO NOT USE PLA.
- Recommended: Use PETG, ASA, or ABS for better heat deflection and UV resistance.
- Disclaimer: PLA may warp or become brittle over time when exposed to the elements. Print in PLA at your own risk for permanent outdoor applications.
